when do i use email.

i use email for a lot of reasons. mainly for my college work.

1. i use email to send myself and other important files. for example if i am doing work at home on my PC then i will attach a file and send it to myself so i can access it on computer at college. similar to sending files to myself. i sometimes send files to my teachers so they can mark it and give me feedback on it. i will also send stuff to my friends and compare my work with theirs.

2. i also use email for a more personal bases. i send informal emails to friends and family asking how they are and what they have been up to. i sometimes send pictures of myself and family to relatives that live abroad. i will also use email to advertise upcoming events that i know off. for example i had a party a few weeks ago when my parents were on holiday! i send emails out to the people i wanted to invite. this keeps it more private and i dont have to publish it around college and out in my social life. emails are good to keep things private.

3. finally i use emails to make accounts on other sites. E.G. facebook. you need an email address for this which means i use my personal email address to activate my account on facebook which allows a wider range of communication. the reason that websites like facebook need your email account is that if anybody tries to contact you. aswell as displaying it on your home page. you recieve a varifaction email as well.

these are the main purpose i use emails for.
