local community ICT.
many places support digital techonology when you visit. for example mc donalds supports the use of digital technology in its premises. this is because they offer a free Wi-Fi connection within the building. the disadvantaged groups would be the people who are less financialy stable. therefore they would benefit from getting their hands on a laptop with a wireless internal connection, once they have, they can access the internet for free. many people use this Wi-Fi to do work. especially business people who have breakfast in mc donalds on the way to work.

reseach initiatives to fund the digital divide.
COMPUTERS WITHIN REACH.
this prospect enables people to develop their skills within IT. it should help them with future jobs and allow them to develop their skills even further. it relates to digital divide because it involves computing at levels which still require development. the people who are using this process are learning about the ways which the ICT works with different situations. this aims to help people who are looking for jobs, it will enhance their IT skills which should benefit them in recieving a well paid job. its strengths are that it helps people to get jobs and will help the government because they wont have to pay as much money to people on the doll because less people with require benefits because they now have a computer related job. the disadvantages of this are that it is limited and can only teach so much, however if the people being taught are not willing to learn then the overall process is a waste of time. the range of topics could be of a wider range. the process could be improved and the learning system different.

Case Study ICT and pensioners in rural england.
i feel that digital technology has deffinetely made an impact of couples lives. from younger generation to the elder generation. the younger generation more because the modern technology has given them the chance to chat online when they arent together. they can also go on webcam and have a visual chat with eachother via MSN MESSENGER. they can also use mobile phones to voice chat with eachother and text eachother.
it also has made impact on the elderly because they can contact their loved ones via mobile phones and email if they are away for a while. email is a very popular server for elderly people who are in a long distance relationship because it allows them to keep in contact. also things like facebook and friends re-united are popular with elderly people because they can also contact their old friends and previous partners.

who studies computing subjects.
in my applied ICT class the number of gender references are pretty even. there are 7boys and 6girls. this shows that the number of boys and girls who choose to study this subject is pretty even. there are many reasons why the number of girls in the subject is increasing. there are many groups that are involving girls more in the subject. for exampe. cc4g, abreviation stands for Computer club 4 girls. this allows girl to get hands on with the subject and get an interest in the IT concept. however i do know a few girls who dropped the subject going into their A2 year. this could be for numerous reasons, they either found the subject too hard, or just decided they didnt enjoy it.
what is the impact of internet access to a homeless person.
five things that would be more important to a homeless person that the internet would be are ;
1. Physical needs (E.G blankets)
2.Food + Drink.
3. Company + Friendship.
4. Money.
5. Warm Clothes.
these neccesities are more important to a homeless person than a laptop with Wi-Fi! food and drink will keep them alive and healthy. blankets will keep them warm. company would make them feel wanted and liked. money could be very helpful, even the smallest amount, and finally warm clothes so they dont feel the good old winter chill.

use a subject directory.

this is also very easy to use because once you have clicked on the topic you wish to discuss. it then brings up more links about what sort of "games" you wish to view. as you can see, the list isnt limited and has a range of inter-topics.

impact of game players.
the impact games have on its players is staggeringly worrying. the stats for number of games sold growing each year is phenominal. i think that computer games are so popular because the sytstems keep getting better and better. for example the new xbox 360 has reached its peek for gaming graphics and realisticness. because of this i believe the computer gaming industry is attracting more and more people. the computing industry will always be a growing market. computer games are getting more and more custom because of the ways they advertise them. for example. the new "call of duty Modern Warfare 2" was tipped to be the most anticipated game of the century!
i think that people are often influenced by the media. computer games being no different. young people especially who are just starting to learn their norms and values will most deffinetely be influenced by games. and this can be a serious problems because more and more parents are buying their children games above their age category. therfore there should be a problem with violent games, when parents complain that a game is too vindictive and brutal. they shouldnt be buying their 12year old son an 18 rating game! yes some games are violent but these are the games that attract people more. but they do have their limits. in 2002 a game called "manhunt" was released and after 4months the game was banned from being sold because it has so many complaints. the gaming industry now know there limits. however the gamer rating is there for a reason and if your child isnt 16 or 18... dont buy it for them!
i deffinately agree that games make you isolated. many people nowadays would rather sit in on the games console than go out and socialize. this is a regularly occuring problem for parents with young children. for example my nephews. whenever they come round to visit. they automatically ask me if they can play computer games with me. and their mum says no because they arent here to do that. meaning that whenever they have the chance to they will automatically say yes. whether it be on an Xbox 360, Ps3 of computer, the gaming world is gradually taking over and there is a lot of evidence to support this. many people would rather play on computer games then go out. especially of late.
when it comes down to computer games making you more or less social i believe that this can be strongly argued yes and no. reasons being; if you answer yes you would be correct because when people sit on the computer for hours, they arent going out and sociolizing, they are simply restricting themselves to the bedroom and they slowly lose contanct with their friends because eventually they will stop inviting you out. this is a big problem because with more and more addictive games coming out, this is going be happen more and more. as said before - "call of duty Modern Warfare 2" has already had its affect on people.
however if you disagree with this statement you can quite easily put your point across. the technology in gaming nowadays has meant that people can play xbox 360 online. this means that you can interact with your friends and play with them. also you can talk to them over your headset. so although you arent going out and seeing yourfriends. you are still being social by ways of playing and talking with eachother on the computer. however this isnt as healthy for you as would be going out.

pirated entertainment.
the advantage of buying official music from a server such as apple. is that you are legally purchasing the song and you havnt got to worry about facing a punishment. you arent breaking the law and you know the songs will be of high quality. you may also get offers from the company if you continue to purchase songs from them. downloading music from servers such as limewire runs a risk of being punished for illegal useage of a product.
the disadvantages of buying a pirate DVD from a market stall is that you will never experiance the cinema quality, or the official product quality. depending on how the DVD has been pirated it will be faulty in many ways. for example, if the DVD has been recordered at the cinema then the picture will not be very clear, also you will have people infront of you moving about so you will occasionally get a black blur in your film. However if the Film has been downloaded off the internet then the picture will be of very bad quality, also you face the risk of inprisonment for illagal copyright. even if you didnt download it.
the disadvantage of downloading a hollywood film before its UK release is that you wont get the big fuss about it when it is released in the UK. you wont be interested in going out with your friends to watch it in the cinema because you have already seen it, meaning you will have a lesser experiance than your friends. and they will talk more about it and the experiance of the downloaded copy will not be as good as the real thing.
the disadvantage of visiting an illicit download website is that its illegal and you are abusing the right to listen to that song. many artists like their songs to be downloaded because of the 40top songs. however the producers and big companies who sell the product would rather you buy them. now that the download industry has increased massively. theres no point in trying to disprove the fact that CD sales have decreased dramatically. more and more people are downloading music rather than buying it. this has put a stubb in the market. however i disagree that it has discouraged the funding of new talent because no matter how good they are. as long as the public notice them they will still be recognised and signed bigger and better record labels.

access to original entertainment.
it has never been easier to access original entertainment. this statement has a lot of evidence to back it up. there are many websites that allow us to publish our own entertainment and watch other peoples. for example www.youtube.com is a very popular site that can have videos with 2million hits in the space of a week. it is a worldwide site that anyperson who has access to the internet, can access! original entertainment has never been easier to publish and produce. the new technology of video cameras allow us to film stuff with sound, which means the statement about it being hard to hear and see original entertainment incorrect. original entertaintment is becoming more and more liable and people can make up whatever they wish to and publish it for people to see. for example if you go onto www.youtube.com and search "funny" a lot of original entertainment will be found that allows you to watch it.

finding reliable, valid information.
The websites that i just visited all are incorrect and informal, useless information. they are more for peoples humour than anything interesting. people make false websites for a number of reason, one could be to scam you into signing up for something which just happens to make you give your bank details so they can scam you out of money and get hold of your account. others may be to give your PC a lot of viruses and make you spend money to replace it or fix it. one of the easiest ways to pick up on a scamming website is that the layout and design of the website will be very poor. if it doesnt look formal. or it looks to good to be true... then it probably is. dont sign up for anything if you arent entirely sure of it. most hoax websites will have spelling mistakes or limited evidence and backup information of what they are trying to support or sell. it will most likely be the first time you have heard of the product or company. if the images look fake or altered then that is another way to define hoax sites full of unvalid information.
if you havnt heard of the website before or the company then ask around before you sign up to anything. look on watch dog or other fraudster websites to see if anything similar has occured recently of in the past. a lot of fraud is happening at present and it is becoming easier and easier for people to access your account details or get you to sign up to something that you really arent interested in.

evaluate your communications.
i use communications for a number of things. mainly being for keeping in contact with my friends who have left school to go to different colleges from me, i do this via SMS text. email. Phone calls. IM and face to face.
when im using SMS i normally ask people how they are or if they would like to meet up with a group of our old friends. SMS is the most common communication method i use. this is because i find it quick and easy to do using the 'text talk'. its good because my friends understand it as well as myself so we are in no confringment about what the hell im saying to them!
i dont often send emails, however when i do they are normaly work based. for example i will attach work and send it to certain people who need to reference it. i will send unfinished work to myself so i can process it further at home on my laptop. i will then forward it to teachers so they know i have finished and can mark it. i sometimes use email to send funny pictures or private messages to people that i find confident and dont want the whole world knowing about. i do this because if you want something safe. then email is a lot more confident then talking to them about it in a group of people.
Phone calls i only use when i want something :D i use phone calls to speak to people when they are upset and i want to cheer them up. i will often ring people to arrange stuff if they dont reply to my SMS. i most commonly speak to family on the phone and SMS more my friends. i recieve more incoming calls than i do outgoing calls. this is because i find SMS easier and sometimes i dont want to actually speak to someone about something so i say text me instead.
IM is normally what i use in the evenings when im not doing work or out with my friends. i sometimes go on MSN MESSENGER to talk to my friends as you can add as many people as you want to a conversation. this means you can talk to all your friends when you arent actually with them. unlike SMS and phone calls. IM is free. this is also good because if your friends on holiday, it is still free to talk on MSN rather than having extra charges for texting them abroad.
finally face-to-face communication normally happens after all of the previous ones. the others i spoke about are used to arrange the meeting with your friends. therefore they all come first and then finaly you meet up face to face.

when do i use mobile phones.
There are many different reasons why i use a mobile phone, some more important than others, and some. not important at all. simply for entertainment purposes.
1. my main use of a mobile phone is all about text SMS. my phone is on a contract sim card. this means i have a certain amount of texts and minutes a month, and i pay a fixed fee in the concluding week. my contract consists of 600free minutes and unlimited texts. i am always texting my girlfriend when im not with her. i text my dad a lot as i dont live with him anymore. and my friends when i want to arrange a event such as a party of s simple get together. overall i probably use about 3000 texts a month. because they are unlimited. i take advantage. i also use the free minutes i have with my contract. i only use about 20 phone calls a month, although most of them are about an hour long! However i can only do so when i have a greatful amount of signal. when i go away to lyme regus, my phone rairly has signal so it is hard to keep in contact with my relatives at home. luckily enough i have my girlfriend with me so my phone is not needed.
2. i also use my phone for simple reminders and as a memo. i use the alarm on my phone to wake me up for college every morning and the mornings i work at weekends. when setting an alarm i can put a message on to remind me i have something to do, this means when i wake up and look at my phone to turn it off. the message on the screen reminds me of an important task. i use the calander to mark dates that are important. for example i have reminders before birthdays so i dont forget presents and things. this is helpful because you always know whats coming, i have also got reminders on the day. so when i look at my calender on my phone, on specific dates it says so and so.
3. the great thing about a mobile phone is that i can use it anywhere. if you use it somewhere you arent suppose to. it has settings that allow you to turn your phone on silent so it doesnt go off and distract other people, or even worse. get you caught and in trouble.
the benefits of a mobile phone are that you can always be in contact with whom ever you need to. if you are out and somebody needs to talk to you, with the click of a button you can be talking to them. as long as you have signal there is nothing a phone cannot do really. they have all the perks that a standard phone wouldnt. LG make phones now. which is what i have, and it hasnt let me down once. touch screen with loads of built in apps. E.G. 5.0mega pixel camera, camcorder, games, mp3, internet - google, word processer. these are just a few of the apps available to you when you have posession of a mobile phone.
the major disadvantages of mobiles are that they are limited in three ways;
1 - you always have to have a signal to be able to be in contact with people, otherwise it doesnt connect any of your calls or texts to whom ever you wish to be in contact with.
2 - you need to have your phone fully charged because they have a battery life that doesnt last that long so you always need to make sure you either have fully battery of a phone charger on you if you go away for a long period of time. a lot of phones now have a longer battery life but still nothing spectacular.
3 - not all phones have these apps. a lot of the older phones only have a standard screen and connection application. a lot of the older phones dont even have a coloured screen meaning that they dont have cameras or camcorders. they wont have any stand out games. maybe the one, snake. which is actually amazing!
overall my phone meets its purpose and more. it has the signal i need, when i need it. it has a lot of apps that just make it more able to use. it has a lot of storage space and a camera and camcorder to catch them kodac moments!

when do i use email.
i use email for a lot of reasons. mainly for my college work.
1. i use email to send myself and other important files. for example if i am doing work at home on my PC then i will attach a file and send it to myself so i can access it on computer at college. similar to sending files to myself. i sometimes send files to my teachers so they can mark it and give me feedback on it. i will also send stuff to my friends and compare my work with theirs.
2. i also use email for a more personal bases. i send informal emails to friends and family asking how they are and what they have been up to. i sometimes send pictures of myself and family to relatives that live abroad. i will also use email to advertise upcoming events that i know off. for example i had a party a few weeks ago when my parents were on holiday! i send emails out to the people i wanted to invite. this keeps it more private and i dont have to publish it around college and out in my social life. emails are good to keep things private.
3. finally i use emails to make accounts on other sites. E.G. facebook. you need an email address for this which means i use my personal email address to activate my account on facebook which allows a wider range of communication. the reason that websites like facebook need your email account is that if anybody tries to contact you. aswell as displaying it on your home page. you recieve a varifaction email as well.
these are the main purpose i use emails for.

Digital communication VS Voice communication.
When people communicate via SMS it is no way near as instructive as an actualy face to face conversation. using the SMS 'text talk', some people may not understand what it is exactly you are saying, for example if you were to text your mum saying "b bk l8r", she might not understand you, where as if you were to ring her and say "il be back later" she would know exactly what you mean straight away. Although using SMS does save time when you are in a hurry, it allows you to shorten messages so you havnt got to write full sentences and lets you communicate in secret with your friends. if your having a private conversation with your friends and your dont want your parents knowing, if they look through your phone they wont know what the hell your going on about!
Also when using SMS you cannot stress yourself. if you say something and your being serious. you dont put across the tone of your voice or anything. people just read it as they would the news paper. e.g if your being sarcastic with someone becauseyour just having a joke about, They wont realise that you are and they could take in the wrong way and get upset. it is very easy to misunderstand someone in text talk. if you say one thing, but you mean to say it a certain way. the reciever may not understand.
E-mails have a lot of bad pointers to them similar to SMS texting. if you send someone a short email and you are very emotional. they wont understand how you feel, but if you were to phone someone and have a voice conversation, they could tell from your tone of voice how you feel and then they would be able to interpret things better and help you out.
Also if you were to send someone an email. they may not reply to it for weeks because some people do not check their inbox which could cause problems if you send somebody and important job to do. this is where voice communication would benefit you a lot.

word would of been useful to them because they can type up all the information that was said at a meeting and forward it on to people who werent present at the time. word allows diagrams and speech to show your explanation so you could use in any way you like to make sure that the information is adequite. excel allows you to show diagrams and graphs. spreadsheets can be used to store information for instructive and make it easier to read.
word is a lot more efficient than a standard pen and paper writing because you can write a lot quicker and a lot more in that space of time. also it doesnt hurt you hand after a lot of pages. you can type more efficiently.
spreadsheets would be good to use because if you have a number scenario then the formulas will automatically be done for you. this saves time and doesnt need someone who is talented at maths.
tpyists in court would not be needed as much because somebody could just type it up later that day if they record the procedure. this would mean that spell check and everything would be covered.
new job opportunities will generate up for people that could use these programs so that they would enter the data correctly and make sure everything was working the right way so that the numbers would not be worked out wrong. these programs are very easy to use and navigate so even someone with bad GCSE's would be able to use them correctly.

Ambulance services
ambulance workers can either have easy days or very hard working days. before they get called out they can just sit around all day doing nothing.most workers prefer doing this rather than sitting in their ambulance waiting to get called out on a job description. a drawback of this is that there may be accidents in other places around the area that no on duty medic is as the time. this means they have to quickly get to where ever they are needed from the headquarters. this risks peoples lives as medics should be available very quickly, each on duty medic should be situated in a reliable place for service.
the benefits of this are that their will be a selection of medics available whenever an accident happens. if they get a phone call through at headquarters and 3 or 4 medics and needed. then they can drive a couple of ambulances to the designated site. it means the workers can be fully relaxed and focused when they are needed because the have been relaxing and resting from their previous job.

tool man
John can use PDA's to use it as an address book that is a lot smaller and also a lot easier to find contacts and their address's. Also the PDA will be a lot more organized and can be used to set dates, also the PDA can be used as a calculator so their is no need for John to carry an extra calculator.
GPS: GPS would be great for John. Gps means that you dont have fiddle around with maps and keep stopping and starting to look. he can listen to the gps and use shortcuts and miss out traffic jams.
Laptop: using a laptop means he will have an electronic data base of all the tools john selling, also the laptop can help and speed up the financial work he does on Fridays, also this means he can access his work anywhere and he hasnt got to be in a specific place.
Software: by using software, John will decrease the amount of time it takes him to complete his work. this also means that the communication he uses will be more formal, i.e email.
Mobile phone: using a mobile phone, a contract one. means that John wont have to keep track of his credit. he can ring and or text whoever he likes. whenever he likes.
Internet: internet means that john can use it to order his stock from the supplier instead of ringing. it also means he can send and receive his emails straight away
What possible disadvantages are there for him in employing a lot of ICT? the disadvantages of John using ICT a lot are that the internet could quite easily lose signal if he has a doogle connecting him from a signal. also he needs to make sure that his laptop is charged up enough for him to use it throughout the day. internet cannot be relied on all the time. PC's and Laptops can easily get viruses risking you to lose all your accounts and important work.

A transaction on www.NatWest.co.uk is very simple. It helps you through step by step showing you pictures and writing to inform you how it works. Before you can do an online transaction of checking your balance for example, you must already have an account with them, and you must have received you card, and pin number. NatWest has a very high security policy and to make a transaction you must know and give them your security code of your card, your card number, and many other security checks before you can access any important data. There is a lot of filling in that needs to be done, it is a fairly long process, it may take about 20 minutes to check your balance if it is your fist time using it because you need to be careful with what you fill in and how you do it. The online banking link is on the home page and you cant miss it. You have to click to blue link to start the process.
There are various sub-headings that you can click to find out more. They even have a short video clip to reassure you that you can be stress free using it and that your details wont go out to anyone other than the bank itself. It is free to use and doesn’t charge your card for using the online service.

me and my family have downloaded a range of things from the internet. however the download scheme can only do so much. the domain use of downloaded content is for music. me and my two brothers all have different tastes in music so the ability to download any music we want is great. there are a lot of downloading services that they themselves must be downloaded. for example; "limewire", "Piolet" and "iTunes".
another use of the internet for downloads is for videos. nowadays you can download videos online to watch on your pc instead of going to the cinema. however we done download video's a lot. the only film we have downloaded is "Role Models" and loved it! it is quite easy to and doesnt take that much time. however some connections can be better than others so speeds to vairy.
we did this because rather than buying the goods we dont have to leave the house or pay money. you can go online and download music for free instead of buying a cd from the shops.

the first education site i looked at and ranked the best was www.bbc.co.uk/schools this is because it has different age groups and a list of subjects that you can navigate through.
my second choice would be http://www.bbcbitesize.co.uk/ because it has an attractive layout of different colours. it has educational games and diagrams so the pupil isnt just reading pages of size 12 text!
my third choice is http://www.ukeducationonline.co.uk/ this has a range of age groups from all over England, Ireland, Wales and Scotland. it tells you about where is best to learn and what the subjects about.
fourth. i chose http://www.bayhouselearning.com/. you have to enrol yourself to courses and you need a password. However it allows you to talk to subject teachers about a certain topic. you have your own account that lets you take park it tasks at different levels.
finaly i looked at http://www.onlineeducation.com/education/ this website offers education styles from gcse to a degree at 2:1 level. it has a lot of information and is probably better for the older generation of students.

The idea of using videos online is a good way of interacting with the learning process because it allows the person learning to interact with the task and shows them physically how to do it. different people learn different ways. this is a good process for visual and auditary learners because it has the graphic video with a voice over whilst playing.
it also shows you a step by step process of the task so you can take each one as it comes. if you decide you want to spend more time on one, you can wait untill you finished. and then with a click of a button - you can move on to the next task.

the technology involved in the process of virtual learning is very helpful to any person studying and the time. if a student is struggling with something they learnt in lesson and is too afraid of telling their teacher and asking for extra help then they can just load up the the webpage at home and slowly go through it at their own pace. it has a wide range of presentations that pupils can watch. you can stop and start the process so you are fully taking in all the information that is handed out to you via virtual graphics.
The disadvantages are that the teaching can only happen if you have this piece of software, also you have to log into these classrooms on time. also there is only certain range you can learn, you cant put your hand up and ask questions during it! also no matter how many times you watch it, you can only learn the same things over and over again. although it has a wide range, it will be the same each time which will help you remember. but its limited.

http://frog.edschool.virginia.edu/Frog2/Dissection/Setup/setup1.html
this website is interesting. the website allows you to go through a step by step process of dissecting a frog, before doing it for real. they give you 3 ways of learning how to do it. one is reading about the different stages. there is an audio choice where you can listen to each step as you do it. and finally there is a video section so you can watch exactly what to do, after all a picture tells a thousand words.
this online simulation teaches you different to how you would get taught in your classroom. you can indivudually evaluate the exact way to disect a frog, without listening to your teacher go on for hours about how it is to be done, you can go onto the website and learn for your selve. as i said above it covers all sorts of leaning styles.

the purpose of this site is to teach studends about the age of ambivalence throughout the late 20th century. "Ferranti Archive held at the Museum of Science and Industry in Manchester
During the late 20th century there was a dramatic shift from expensive mainframe computers which occupied whole rooms, to personal machines that are networked together to form a powerful tool for communication. How did this major multinational industry grow from university research and a few kids trying to impress each other with their programming skills? And what did the defence industry have to do with it? This is the extraordinary story of how a bunch of nerds with little business experience made up the rules as they went along, ending up creating the personal computing industry that exists today and transforming our global communications landscape."

EBAY! ebay is an online marketing website that sells the publics good off on auction. its target audience are people who are looking to buy cheap, good quality second hand goods. the process works via people uploading photos and desriptions of their goods onto the website. they then allow people to look at the items via the search engine. If someone likes the sound and or look of an item then they are allowed to bid on it. the highest bidder at the end of a set time is the winner. however if the seller is not happy with the final selling price, they are not required to sell it. the website is not entirely perfect as it allows people to play other around. not deliberate but people can put in for bids with no intention of buying them with causes problems with the seller. Ebay is extremely successful as a shopping outlet as it is known world-wide. it has websites set up in the UK, US, IRELAND ETC. it is a great way for people to buy cheap goods that are most deffinetely reliable. i myself brought my moped of ebay and havnt had one problem with it. i know many people who are happy with buys from ebay.

The weather over the next four days should show a nice spell of weather. with rain saturday dampening the weekend, sunday monday and tuesday should see a lot of sunny spells. i used http://www.bbcweather.com/ to gather this information. i will come back to this page everday to review how accurate the forcast is.
Saturday was very unaccurate and the weather was the complete opposite to what was schedulled, it was sunny all day with a few clouds. not one shower, not even the slightest.
Sunday was correct. it had sunny intervals and a few clouds in the sky.
Monday was also accurate with the predictions. it started out cloudy but after lunch time broke it was sunny.
Tuesday was partly correct. it was sunny however there was not many clouds.
however there is a slightly different view on the upcoming weather from the website, http://www.weather.com/. according the this weather system it will be the hottest day of the week on saturday not rain! also it shows that it will be sunny through out the week. i will also check this websites forecast accuracy each day.
today - september 18th. is quite accurate. it has been cloudy, not much sun but a little at least. however it is still 10:25 so i will update later also.
saturday the 19th was very accurate. it was sunny through out the day with cloudy intervals. no rain at all, it said on other forcasts that it was schedulled to.
Sunday was also very accurate. no rain. some sun and a lot of cloud.
monday and tuesday we're accurate. monday was sunny with outbreaks of clouds, tuesday was sunny with no clouds blocking the sun. tuesday was partly cloudy and sunny intervals

The term digital divide refers to the gap between people with effective access to digital and information technology and those with very limited or no access at all. It includes the imbalances in physical access to technology as well as the imbalances in resources and skills needed to effectively participate as a digital citizen. In other words, it is the unequal access by some members of society to information and communication technology, and the unequal acquisition of related skills. The term is closely related to the knowledge divide as the lack of technology causes lack of useful information and knowledge.

how email works.

Online services
EMAIL – HOW IT WORKS.
Email is an online communication service that people use when they wish to leave someone a message. It is similar to instant messaging but it doesn’t have to be replied to straight away. Email was introduced in 1971. Email has many different servers. Hotmail is the most popular, they also have yahoo and outlook and many more. The email service is vast improving. Not only will it let you send messages, it lets you attach folders and photos in your email so that you can send files to different computers making communication a lot easier.
